The formidable On Form sculpture biennale at Asthall Manor over the past twenty years has meant that some 300 thousand people have visited this garden that we made with Rosie Pearson from virtual abandonment. And people love it. Of all the gardens we have done this is the one people most often refer with affection, and that is in large part due to its owner and the amazing gardener Mark – who has now retired. Together they have woven the threads that we gave them into an intimate, rampant, wild thing. Which is just what all of us wanted.
